A Texas officer had a part of his ear bitten off throughout a site visitors cease on Friday that turned violent, a report stated.

The suspect was recognized as Christopher Rogers, 45. He was charged with assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and driving whereas intoxicated, The Dallas Morning Information reported.

A Denton police spokesman instructed The Fort Price Star-Telegram that Rogers was uncooperative and refused to exit the automobile. He allegedly punched an officer and continued to battle the officers as soon as outdoors of the automobile.

The officer was not recognized however is recovering at residence. The Morning Information reported that Rogers was booked into the Denton metropolis jail and is not there.
