A federal decide on Thursday set a Nov. 5 trial date for President Donald Trump’s longtime political ally and self-described soiled trickster, Roger Stone.

Stone was arrested in late January in a predawn FBI raid at his Florida residence. He was indicted by Mueller’s prosecutors on seven felony counts, together with mendacity to Congress and obstructing a Home investigation into Russian interference throughout the 2016 presidential election.

Stone is alleged to have lied about his interactions with whistleblower group WikiLeaks, which printed a trove of Democratic officers’ emails within the run-up to the 2016 election. Mueller has accused Russian intelligence company hackers of stealing the non-public messages from the Democratic Nationwide Committee.
