James Gunn has obtained a second likelihood.
Disney has rehired the filmmaker to write down and direct the third installment of the Marvel superhero franchise, “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Deadline confirmed the information with Marvel and Gunn’s reps.

Final July, Disney fired Gunn after decade-old tweets resurfaced during which he joked about subjects together with pedophilia and rape.

On the time, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn stated, “The offensive attitudes and statements found on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values and we’ve got severed our enterprise relationship with him.”
Gunn’s previous tweets, which had been dug up by critics on-line, included traces like, “I like when little boys contact me in my foolish place.”

Different now-deleted tweets from 2008-2011 included jokes concerning the assaults of Sept. 11, 2001, AIDS and the holocaust.
Gunn publicly apologized, saying that his “phrases of almost a decade in the past had been, on the time, completely failed and unlucky efforts to be provocative.”
“I’ve regretted them for a few years since — not simply because they had been silly, under no circumstances humorous, wildly insensitive, and definitely not provocative like I had hoped, but in addition as a result of they do not mirror the particular person I’m in the present day or have been for a while,” Gunn’s assertion continued.
The “Guardians” forged launched an open letter later that month in full help of Gunn and the film’s star, Chris Pratt, personally stated he’d “like to see him reinstated as director of Quantity 3.”
