RUTHERFORD, N.J. — As heavy storms hit the tri-state space early Monday, a hearth broke out at a New Jersey dwelling.

Crews responded to the Ridge Highway home in Rutherford round 4:30 a.m.

Firefighters have been seen on the roof of a home placing out flames, which broken a portion of the roof.

The three occupants inside the home all obtained out secure, in response to the police chief on scene.

Authorities on scene stated a “few” firefighters suffered minor accidents and one police officer suffered from smoke inhalation.

Across the time of the hearth, neighbors inform PIX11 they have been woken up from loud thunder.
